Plot Overview
Game designer Qing Wan falls into a deep coma after a car accident. Her fiancé, Lin Xian, the CEO of a top gaming company, uses the company's "Dreamscape" engine to connect her consciousness to a simulated reality in a desperate attempt to wake her. However, once inside, he discovers that Qing Wan has completely forgotten who he is. To restore her memory, he encourages her to develop a dream game called Qing Wan Zhi Lin (This World Is Not Real). Meanwhile, a business rival, He Fan, bribes Lin Xian's assistant to plant a virus in the simulation, making the dream world increasingly dangerous. As the threats escalate, Lin Xian makes a self-sacrificial choice to create an escape path for Qing Wan, setting her on a journey of awakening. The series is known for a major plot twist that recontextualizes the entire narrative.

Deep Dive: Story Arcs & Episode Guide
The 18-episode short-form series (approx. 10 min each) can be broadly divided into the following main story arcs:
- Act 1: The Descent into the Dream (Episodes 1-6 approx.): Qing Wan is in a coma. Lin Xian enters the "Dreamscape" simulation to save her but finds she has no memory of him. He begins to guide her subtly while facing the initial threats of the dream world.
- Act 2: The Game Within the Dream (Episodes 7-12 approx.): Lin Xian encourages Qing Wan to develop a game based on their shared memories, hoping it will trigger her recollection. The virus planted by He Fan begins to manifest, creating dangerous anomalies and escalating the stakes.
- Act 3: The Virus and the Sacrifice (Episodes 13-16 approx.): The dream world becomes critically unstable. Realizing that both of them cannot escape, Lin Xian makes the ultimate sacrifice, staying behind to hold off the chaos and open a path for Qing Wan's consciousness to awaken.
- Act 4: The Awakening and the Truth (Episodes 17-18): Qing Wan begins to awaken. However, the series delivers a shocking reversal: the entire narrative has been a hallucination within Lin Xian's own comatose mind. He was the one in the coma all along, and everything he experienced was his own subconscious projection.
