Plot Overview
Zhou Xiangxiang, an energetic university student who dreams of becoming a host despite her stage fright, and Gu Han, the campus basketball ace who appears cold and distant but secretly fears separation and craves family warmth, were childhood acquaintances who lost touch for years. A comical misunderstanding involving a "publicly announced girlfriend" forces them to reunite. What begins as a bickering, enemies-to-lovers dynamic gradually transforms as they discover each other's hidden vulnerabilities—she melts his guarded heart with her optimism, and he quietly encourages her to overcome her stage fright. Together they chase their dreams, heal each other's wounds, and slowly fall in love, living up to the drama's title of a "second first love."

Deep Dive: Story Arcs & Episode Guide
The series has 24 episodes (some sources list 28), each approximately 45 minutes. It can be broadly divided into the following story arcs:
- Act 1: An Unwanted Reunion (Episodes 1-6 approx.): Zhou Xiangxiang and Gu Han, childhood friends who lost contact years ago, are forced to reunite due to a "publicly announced girlfriend" misunderstanding. From the moment they meet, they clash constantly, bickering and trading barbs like a classic bickering couple.
- Act 2: Seeing Beyond the Surface (Episodes 7-12 approx.): Through their daily interactions, they gradually begin to see past each other's facades. Zhou Xiangxiang's cheerful optimism slowly chips away at Gu Han's emotional walls, while his calm steadiness encourages her to confront her stage fright and pursue her hosting dream.
- Act 3: Dreams & Growing Closer (Episodes 13-18 approx.): As they support each other in their respective pursuits, their feelings deepen. The story balances their romantic development with individual growth arcs, showing how they become better versions of themselves through each other's influence.
- Act 4: A Second First Love (Episodes 19-24): The pair finally transition from bickering rivals to a committed couple. The childhood connection that first brought them together comes full circle, and they embrace their "second first love" while continuing to support each other's dreams.
