Orion Chen (辰灿)

Orion Chen first caught the public eye with his leading role as the mysterious mercenary Nie Chuan in the 2026 Taiwanese BL action-crime drama Kiss or Kill (Fu Hai). In a genre that thrives on intense on-screen chemistry and high-stakes storytelling, Chen’s portrayal of a hardened soldier entangled in a web of crime and forbidden romance helped position the series as a standout release of the year, earning him early recognition among BL drama audiences.

Breakthrough Role Chen’s breakthrough came with the 2026 web series Kiss or Kill (Fu Hai), which premiered on August 19 across platforms including GagaOOLala and YouTube. In the 10-episode series, he played Nie Chuan, a skilled mercenary whose chance encounter with an undercover agent (played by DayDay) during a border conflict sets off a chain of events that reunites them years later within a powerful crime syndicate. The series, which blends BL romance with action and crime elements, also featured Chen contributing to the soundtrack, performing the theme song "Starry Galaxy" and several insert songs.

Public Perception Given the recency of his debut and the limited available information, Orion Chen remains an emerging talent whose public profile is still taking shape. His work on Kiss or Kill has introduced him to the BL drama audience, but broader recognition within the Chinese entertainment industry has yet to develop. As of now, he is best understood as a new face on the scene — an actor whose career trajectory will largely depend on how he builds upon his first major role.
